Dr. Izak
Bencuya
Executive Director
Izak Bencuya, recently resigned from his position as the Executive Vice President of Fairchild Semiconductor and the General Manager of the Functional Power Products Group in San Jose, California.
Dr. Bencuya has over 25 years of industry experience. He began his career at Yale University where he researched ultra thin oxide MOS devices. Dr. Bencuya later worked at GTE Laboratories and Siliconix in various research and management roles to develop and market leading edge Power Devices, such as MOSFETs, IGBTs and SITs. He joined Fairchild Semiconductor in 1994 to start the Low Voltage MOSFET business which has grown to be the major revenue and earnings generating line at Fairchild. The Functional Power Products Group, at $950M annual revenue, mainly supplies Power Semiconductor solutions for all power supply applications in the computing, communications, industrial, consumer and automotive markets. Dr. Bencuya has a B.S. in Electrical Engineering from Bogazici University in Istanbul, Turkey, an M.S. and Ph.D. in Engineering and Applied Science from Yale University and an M.B.A. from the University of California-Berkeley. He is a member of the IEEE Electron Device Society. Dr. Bencuya holds 22 patents and has published extensively in the electronics field.

Saroj Sahu
Founder & Chief Technology Officer
Saroj holds a Ph.D. in Experimental Physics. Some of his best academic works include determination of structure of photon and particle detectors for b-quark physics. He has worked in technology leadership positions at Raychem/Tyco Electronics, Jasmine Networks, and Santec Corp, prior to founding Deeya Energy. He has been a Visiting Scholar (Monbusho Fellow) at Japanese National Accelerator Physics Lab (KEK) invited by the Japanese Ministry of Education, and a Researcher at University of Hawaii (Honolulu), and National Taiwan University (Taipei). He has over 60 publications in international journals, 1 published book and 1 US patent, with several pending.

Raj Alur
Chief Marketing Officer
Raj is the Chief
Marketing Officer responsible for worldwide marketing and sales. Raj was
previously at Vesbridge Partners (previously known as St. Paul Venture Capital)
where he was a Managing Director. While at Vesbridge, Raj was instrumental in
investments in ProQuent Systems, Metconnex, Aegis Lightwave, Mahi Networks, and
RedShift Communications. Prior to joining Vesbridge, Raj was Vice President of
Strategic and Segment Marketing for Lucent Technologies, where he was
responsible for defining and articulating Lucent's packet voice, data and
optical products and solutions strategy and positioning and promoting them to
various market segments including ISPs, CLECs and ILECs. He had previously been
Director of Marketing & Business Development at Ascend Communications and
Stratus Computer.. Raj also served as CEO of Proquent Systems previously known
as Avian communications from 2001 to2002. Raj was one of the initial team
members of Isis Distributed Systems a startup from Cornell University that was
acquired by Stratus Computer. He spent his initial career designing operating
systems and file systems at Wang Labs and Siemens Nixdorf
Raj is a Board
Director of The Indus Entrepreneur (TiE) Boston chapter where he served as the
President during 2006-2008. Raj also sits on the board of MIT Heritage of South
Asian Arts (MITHAS). Raj holds an
MBA from Cornell University and a Master degree in Computer Science from Boston
University.

Vic Mahadevan
Advisor
Vic Mahadevan is a 27-year veteran of the high tech industry with extensive experience in guiding companies and developing strategic business development agreements. Mahadevan was recently the CEO of Neoedge Networks where he led the company through a business model transformation in offering an advertising supported direct to consumer casual gaming service. Before serving as CEO of Neoedge Networks, he was CEO of MaXXan Systems and co-founder and CEO of iVita Corporation, an enterprise asset management software company. Before starting iVita, he was Vice President and General Manager of the Enterprise Storage and Application Recovery Division for BMC Software. Prior to BMC, he transformed Compaq's Enterprise Storage and Options Division into a $4 Billion industry powerhouse as its VP and General Manager.
Mahadevan holds a Bachelors Degree in Mechanical Engineering from the Indian Institute of Technology and Masters Degrees in Mechanical Engineering and Business Administration from the University of Iowa.

Rick Winter
Vice President Engineering
Rick has 18 years of experience in the design and application of advanced energy storage systems. His previous positions include Program Manager for Energy Storage Systems at Pacific Gas & Electric Company, and VP Engineering at Powercell Corporation, where he is credited with developing the world’s first fully integrated AC production flow-battery. While his primary expertise is in system integration and application engineering, his interest in technical development has earned him two patents with a third pending.
Rick’s field-applications experience has given him a unique technology-neutral insight into energy storage solutions at the forefront of emerging commercial technologies. His background includes the application of advanced energy systems ranging from Remote Area Power Supplies to utility transmission applications. He has twice served as President of the Electricity Storage Association, and is an annually invited industry expert for the US Department of Energy to critique the DOE Energy Storage Program. He recently managed the Californian Distributed Utility Integration Test (DUIT) Program, designed to screen new distributed generation and storage technologies within critical utility infrastructure.

Jim Geyton
Director of Finance
Jim brings experience in Financial Management including Planning and Budgeting, Cost Accounting, Receivables, Cash Management and Payables to Deeya Energy, Inc. Jim has also managed IT, HR, Production Control and Purchasing and implemented new software systems. He has negotiated equipment leases, bank lines of credit and building leases. Jim’s industry background includes Semiconductors (Signetics), Microwave Components (MicroWave Technology, Inc. now part of IXYS) and Solar Energy (UltraDots, Inc.). Jim has spent the last 20 years primarily in VC funded startups and one Telecom startup (Intarsia Corporation) funded by Dow Chemical and Flextronics.
